The study of human anatomy is impossible without the generosity of individuals who bequeath their bodies to medical science. We hold the donation program in the highest ethical and moral regard. Donated bodies are treated with absolute dignity, respect, and confidentiality, serving as "silent teachers" to our medical students.

Why Body Donation Matters

While computer simulations and plastic models are excellent educational aids, nothing compares to the complexity and variability of the actual human body. A donated body helps students understand anatomical differences, feel tissue textures, and practice surgical procedures, ensuring they do not make mistakes on living patients in the future.

How to Donate or Register

Individuals who wish to participate in the body donation program can contact the department to receive information leaflets and registration forms. We work closely with donors, their families, and legal executors to ensure their wishes are honored in compliance with Tanzanian laws and ethical medical guidelines.
